Our Team

We are the Gause family; sometimes referred to as Team G. There are seven people in our family but you can only see five of us here. These are my thoughts and feelings our entire family...those you can see and the two you can't.

Miles

Miles is our 5th child. He was stillborn after 20 weeks of pregnancy. After many tests, the doctors told us there was "no medical reason" for his death. He did not have a chromosome abnormality or any other identifiable problem. Eli just needed his brother.

Eli

When we went to our 20 week ultrasound, we found out that our son, Eli, had a chromosomal anomaly called trisomy 18. They defined him as "incompatible with life." They told me that he would most likely die before or immediately following delivery. I chose carry him to term and we were blessed with 5 hours with him. This experience has changed my life. Eli has changed my life.

Lincoln

Lincoln is 5 and his personality matches his hair: wild and a little unruly, but so full of life! He is the light of our family. Everything is an adventure. He runs from one thought and activity to the next without taking any rest in between and never seems to tire. He also has a tender spot and it quite affectionate and kind (if he is in the mood to be).

Ethan

Ethan is 9 and in 23rd grade. He is a sweet and tender soul. He is so kind and thoughtful and intuitive. Ethan is very meticulous about everything he does and is a rule follower. He is developing a love for soccer and has become a big star wars fan.

Katelyn

Katelyn is 11 and in 6th grade. You can find her at any given moment talking, playing the piano, talking, doing gymnastics (in appropriate and inappropriate places), talking, learning to bake, talking. I wonder where she gets the talking gene....hmmmm.... She is a great big sister and is learning how to babysit now! (yay!)
