fun at the park

Here are some treats from Katelyn's ladybug party! She had a fun party, but I will say this... NO BOYS next year. We will be sticking to all girl parties for awhile. That is part of the reason there aren't any other pictures... it was CRAZY!!!!!

Katelyn just finished another season of soccer. Her favorite position is goalie (which surprised me because I didn't imagine her happy with a ball sailing towards her...)

Me and Katelyn ran a 1 mile fun run for health and safety week and her school... lots of fun!

Here's the story.... for health and safety week the kids at school could enter an essay contest.  If they won, they received a bike helmet.  I was able to help judge the contest, so I saw how many essays there were.  I judged 5th grade and there were supposed to be 8 winners- there weren't even 8 essays, so everyone who wrote an essay won.  How easy is that?  When I saw the stack of 1st grade essays, my heart sank a little... there were about 100.  I tried to prepare Katelyn for the fact that she might NOT win.. but she did.. yea!
