We bought a new car! yea! It was pretty fun shoving all 3 kids in the back of the malibu, but... all good things must come to an end.

I really like that no one is sitting right next to each other anymore. Before... we had Lincoln in the middle and Katelyn and Ethan on either side. They LOVED to shout and yell and put their faces right in Lincoln's. I think they really thought he would love it. He didn't. I would remind, ask, beg and plead for them to LEAVE THE BABY ALONE, but to no avail. They were convinced that THIS TIME he really would love a bunch of noise and spit in his face. (In reality he did like it about 25 % of the time...) WELL.. problem solved.

Here is the car we had to say goodbye to. I was actually pretty sad. I bought this car in 2001, before we got married. If someone told me I would have this car 11 years later with a husband, mortgage and 3 kids I would have laughed. We have some good memories... I will miss it (but if I get too sad, I'll just go for a ride the new RIDE and I'm sure I'll be okay).

Ohh... by the way, it looks was sweeter now than it did while WE were driving it. Jason fixed it up... put in a new stereo (because the one in it worked minimally). If it was too cold, the volume would turn up instead of down when you twisted the dial. You couldn't turn it down until the car was warm OR you could turn the car off and try again. Jason told me you just had to turn it SLOW... ohhhh.. who has time for that. You couldn't see the numbers on the clock of radio station either, but if you listened to the radio long enough they would tell you both. The tires were almost dead and Jason found some rims on KSL for cheaper than a new set of tires. WE drove around with only 2-3 hubcaps for most of the cars life. We hardly EVER had 4 hubcaps. They just kept falling off... really annoying. AND... the glove compartment was stuck shut for 10 years (seriously)... I'm happy I didn't throw an apple in there!!! The glove compartment now works. YOUR WELCOME (to the 16 year old kid who got it for his birthday). WHAT?
Here are just a few pictures from our"spa party" that took place during the priesthood session. We did facials, makeovers, manicures and pedicures (and ate delicious food). It was a lot of fun to get together with all the ladies!

More Birthday fun!!!  When he ate his cake it was just business as usual... he eats A LOT and didn't think anything of it when I plopped an entire cake in front of him.  He ate quite a bit of it.  I just carried him (still in his high chair) into the tub.

Fun at the playground... these were taken on his birthday. I love this age!  He is happy and loves to explore the world. I love watching his sweet face!

Katelyn's class went on a field trip and we were able to join them.  We started at Cal Ranch to see the baby chicks... soooo cute!
WE then went to Fresh Market to learn about healthy eating and go on a tour of the bakery.
We finished at the park for a picnic and playground time. It was a lot of fun.

I just HAD to take of picture of this guy.  He was so cute with the kids and taught them all about how to take care of baby chicks. Doesn't he just look like someone from Cal Ranch?  I really love living in our small (ish) town were there are real live farmers and cowboys.

Lincoln is 1!!!
YEA!
I love the first birthday!
It is more a celebration for me, than anyone else. It means we made it through the first year... and that is an accomplishment, if you ask me. We love our sweet baby so much. Me and Jason often look at each other and ask if we loved our other kids this much when they were babies. I think we have forgotten how sweet and innocent they USED TO BE ( ha ha!). Love you baby boy!
